If you have read the About page, you will know that cars are a life long obsession! The 2nd generation Range Rover, the P38 a particular favourite. My late father passed in 2018, I searched every day for 3 years for his old car, one evening after a few drinks at the local pub, to my disbelief the car appeared for sale online. The car arrived later that week. The thoughts rushed back, and dads car was back with me where it stays to this day. It's one of the rarest p38's ever made, a 2002 VOGUE SE with factory tv screens. 1 of 13 ever made in Java black.
Due to my obsessive searching over 3 years, I also came across other rare editions, the WESTMINSTER, 1 of only 150 ever made, the one in our collection being believed to be the lowest mileage 4.0 V8 WESTMINSTER in the world! Both models completely original!
I think over the next 10/20 years cars of the late 80's early 90's/2000's will be hugely sort after, rare editions even more so. The world is changing and cars moving forward will be very different to what we once knew. The v8 will soon be confined to the museums.
2002 Range Rover VOGUE SE - 1 of 13 ever built worldwide! This car has a real story behind it, if you have read the "About' page you will know how much i love my cars, this car isn't only rare but it was my late fathers. Dad bought the car in 2003 and sold it roughly 3 years later. I remember picking this car up from our local dealership, Dad collected me from school and off we went to collect it. When my father passed in 2018 I statured my mission to track the car down, I searched every car sales site every day for 3 years until it eventually came up for sale, within 1 hour of the advert going live I'd bought the car back!
Java Black with lightstone leather and black piano wood, Full service history, 113,000 miles.
The VOGUE SE was the last P38 model to be built by Land Rover and their special division in solihull, before the new shape came out, they built only a handful of the VOGUE SE with factory rear TV screens and ours is one of them.
2000 Range Rover Holland & Holland 1 - 20 ever built worldwide. 400 Holland & Hollands were built and 300 of these were destined for the North American market. Of the 100 UK market vehicles, only 20 were fitted with TV, VCR player and headrest screens. Our car is one of the 20 equipped with the system, which put an additional £5,000 onto the vehicle price of £63,495.
Each H&H had thirty hours of final build including trim upgrades and paint finishing. The body colour was Tintern Green and the interior was finished in saddle tan with dark brown piping. An interesting accessory is the picnic table which uses the removable rear load space floor and four detachable legs!
2002 Range Rover Westminster - 1 of 150 ever built worldwide! The ‘Westminster’ Limited Edition was announced in February 2001 but deliveries did not commence until August that year. 200 were built: 150 with the 4.0 litre V8 petrol engine, and 50 with the 2.5 diesel.
The Westminster was designed to be restrained and practical with sober colour schemes (Blenheim Silver, Java Black or Bonatti Grey) and bumpers and sills were painted to match the body colour. All had interiors trimmed in Ash Grey leather upholstery with Charcoal piping, and Poplar Anthracite wood. Carpets in the cabin, in the boot and on the lower tailgate were all in Ash Grey.
